July - Quick View

The most important activities in July are watering, weeding and deadheading.

Mallow Flower

Hanging Baskets

-  July is the perfect time to propagate shrubs, herbs and spring perennials to spread plants to other parts of the garden or to share with friends and neighbors.💗

Everything has been planted and is looking amazing "hopefully"!.

-  Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring flowering bulbs can be dug up in July and stored.

-  Your vegetables are ready for harvest.

In season for July are beetroot, cabbage, courgettes, lettuce and salad leaves, peppers, potatoes, radish, strawberries, tomatoes and cherries.

Blooming flowers arise to colour July!

If you like outdoors and water plants, this month is peak blooming for lotus and water lily.

Here are my ones 💗

Crocosmia

Mallow

Here is a bit of information found : Mallow is used for irritation of the mouth and throat, dry cough, constipation, and other uses...Super interesting!. Wondering if could be used to treat Covid-19.

Mallow also has an external effect on insect bites and minor skin injuries: Rub a few mallow flowers between your fingers and place them on the affected skin area.

July is the perfect growing month for petunias.

I’m sharing my petunias that they’ll look beautiful all summer long! No plant fills a container or bed with great colors faster than petunias. They produce an abundance of gorgeous blooms from early spring until a frosty fall day finishes their growing season. Keeping petunias in bloom mode is simply a matter of pruning and regular deadheading to encourage more growth.
